The works was to construct a new macadam surfaced pedestrian footpath and tactile paved crossing points enabling easier and safer access to the new University building.
STEM Construction was appointed to:
- Provide and maintain traffic and pedestrian management throughout the duration of the contract
- Break out the existing footpath structure and kerb alignments. Remove all materials off site to a waste recycling facility
- Construct a new vehicle access point into the proposed University development site and car park
- Construct a new macadam surfaced footpath to the required revised levels including new kerb and edging alignment to the three sides of the University building
- Installation of tactile paved crossing points
- Raising all service manhole and inspection chamber covers to required new footpath levels
- Supply and installation of Visirail pedestrian guard rails
- Supply and installation of new road signage
- Macadam surfacing of new vehicle access and footpath
8 week construction period
