Serious About Safety
STEM Construction’s commitment to safety underlined by RoSPA membership.
We take our commitments very seriously here at STEM Construction Ltd. To show our commitment to safety in all our operations, we have joined The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
RoSPA gives us much more than access to health & safety information. The Society is a trusted service and source of guidance and information for thousands of organisations in the UK and worldwide.
According to RoSPA, there are around 340 million occupational accidents and 160 million victims of work-related illnesses across the globe every year. The financial burden on businesses and society as a whole from work-related injury and illness cost Great Britain £16.2 billion in 2018/19 alone, according to the Health and Safety Executive.
We’ve joined a community where we get support and guidance to help manage risks, and where we can make our voice heard alongside other RoPSA members who work with the government to make positive changes to policy and legislation. We also get opportunities to connect with industry leaders and subject experts at webinars, conferences and events.
Dianne Tyrer, STEM Construction’s HSEQ Manager, said:
‘Joining RoSPA is an excellent way for us to access up-to-date health & safety advice and support, and it shows all our clients how much we value health & safety on our sites and in our offices. We’re looking forward to working alongside other members to find even better ways to safeguard all our team members and partners.’
